Learning how to make dumplings is almost a rite of passage for a lot of Asians, whether its helping mom out with filling a tray to cook, or competing for the most number of folds at a dumpling party in university. They’re great because they freeze well and cooking them can be as simple as throwing them in a pot of boiling water. Tim’s mom and grandmother will occasionally give us a Ziploc of dumplings which we happily accept. And heck, don’t they photograph well?
